Crocodilu cannot control which advertisements you get from Google. They are put directly into your web page by Google, and do not even pass us. Google may also show different advertisements to readers in different countries. This means that a European member of the Crocodilu project team may never see the ads shown to American readers of the same page.
As a consequence of this, Crocodilu can not take any responsibility for the soundness of the advice given in advertisements. Many advertisements are for very good products, but others may be for products which we definitely do not recommend. Our advice to our readers is to apply the same reasonableness testing to advertisements in Crocodilu as to any other advertisements. If you are not sure, try to search our data base for information about the product you see advertised. Our informational pages may include advice for or against the advertised products.
Google Adsense policies forbid ads on pages related to sexuality, so on such pages, we have ads provided by other ad providers.
Google provides a facility to block ads from certain companies. We can use this facility to block particular ads, if needed.
The content of Crocodilu is definitely not in any way influenced by our advertisers.
Crocodilu is not a profit-making business. Rather the opposite; in spite of advertisements, Crocodilu depends on voluntary unpaid efforts.
If you want to complain about an advertisement, write to us and tell us the web address of the web page which the ad led to. Write to
Ads are clearly marked with text such as "Ads by Google".
There are also, sometimes, ads not provided by Google. They are mostly for organisations connected to Crocodilu.
